What this diary writes down about you

Last updated: Sep 29, 2026

A diary is usually private. This one is public, but your visit to it should stay as close to private as possible. These notes explain, entry by entry, what information is involved when you read Chicken Road: Player's Diary.

Nothing to sign up for

You will not find an account, profile, login or mailing list on this site. Reading the diary or trying the demo on the front page needs no name, email, phone number or payment information.

The few records that exist

Like almost every website, this one runs on a host that keeps standard access logs. Each line notes the IP address, the browser and device, which page was opened and when. The host keeps these for a limited period so that attacks can be spotted and errors fixed, and then they are deleted. I do not use them to identify readers, and I do not go through them looking for individual visitors; they are there purely to keep the lights on and the pages loading.

There is also the age check. Once you confirm you are 18 or older, your browser remembers it in local storage, which is a small storage area on your own device. It is not a cookie and it never travels to the diary's server.

Finally, if you email me, your message and address are kept only for as long as it takes to reply and follow up. Nothing from your inbox ends up in a diary entry unless you say it may, and even then without your name.

What is not happening

Other people's servers

The game itself comes from InOut Games, which serves the demo from its own infrastructure, so whatever happens inside that frame follows InOut Games' policies. Outbound casino links go to separate operators with their own privacy terms, which are worth reading before you share anything with them. More detail on what those services may store sits in the cookie notes.

Asking about your data

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask what personal data is held about you and request that it be corrected or erased. In practice that means an email you sent or log lines linked to your IP address. Send the request to [email protected] and I will reply within a reasonable time.

New versions of these notes

If anything about the setup changes, these notes will be rewritten and the date at the bottom moved forward. The rest of the house rules live on the terms page.
